An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced and highly passionate Registered Nurse with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to join the Floor Coordinator Team at a private hospital in Brisbane. It is a permanent Full-Time position.

ROLE OVERVIEW
This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with some floor coordination experience and an interest in further development. Responsibilities will include providing support to theatre teams, Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs), and the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) by coordinating staffing, theatre movement, and daily operations. The role will be involved in the $40 million redevelopment project, starting in July, which will expand services to 4 operating theatres and 2 procedure rooms.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Be a Level 2 registered nurse (essential);
  • Have relevant post-graduate qualifications (desirable);
  • Have experience in coordinating busy theatres;
  • Have excellent time management;
  • Be comfortable with competing priorities and flexible to change;
  • Be a supportive and engaging people leader with great communication skills.

ABOUT THE FACILITY 

The hospital, located in Brisbane, is a 60-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 3 operating theatres. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.
