A thrilling chance awaits a seasoned Nurse Leader to step into the Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) role for inpatient services at a private hospital in Brisbane. ABOUT THE POSITION
In this role, you will support the Director of Nursing and take a leadership position to:
  • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, adaptive, and values-based care to patients, families, and Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs);
  • Promote a skilled, cooperative, and safety-driven work environment;
  • Serve as a role model for customer service excellence and embed quality service improvement processes;
  • Foster a culture of engagement, emphasizing patient and employee experience;
  • Ensure patient flow efficiency and support high-acuity care by overseeing staffing and rostering practices.

REQUIREMENTS

As the successful applicant, you will possess the following attributes:
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent, with AHPRA registration;
  • Proven experience in delivering multi-disciplined clinical services and achieving budget targets;
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of engagement and high performance;
  • In-depth understanding of NSQHS standards and experience in critical care environments;
  • Prior experience in healthcare accreditation and leading quality improvement projects;
  • Advanced report writing skills and a track record of successfully leading change initiatives;  
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Nursing, Business, or related fields (or working towards completion), (desirable).

ABOUT THE FACILITY

With over 40 years of service, the hospital provides the highest quality care to the local community. The facility features 111 inpatient beds across Surgical, ICU, Medical, and Rehabilitation units, a day rehabilitation program, seven operating theatres, and a day oncology unit.
