Exciting career opportunities are now available for Registered Nurses with expertise in Scrub Scout, Recovery, Day Services, or Anaesthetics who are eager to join the Perioperative department at a private hospital in Melbourne. Both permanent full-time and part-time roles are offered.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role within a supportive team in ensuring high patient care levels.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs), and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
- Leading successful quality improvement and safety management projects to deliver desired outcomes;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Authority to Work in Australia;
- Working with Children check
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- At least 2 years of Perioperative Nursing experience;
- Post Graduate Certificate or working towards Perioperative Nursing (desirable);
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused.
REMUNERATION
A salary ranges between $36.13 to $48.32 per hour, based on your years of relevant nursing experience.

Situated in Melbourne, this hospital is a fully accredited tertiary institution boasting 295 beds and offering various services, such as Emergency Services, Intensive Care, and Cardiac Services. Notably, it houses a 24-hour Cardiac Cath Lab and is home to Victoria's exclusive Single-Site Robotic Surgery Program. The facility ensures comprehensive healthcare options with 8 surgical wards specialising in various fields, including cardiac, general surgery, plastics, colorectal, hepatobiliary, urology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and vascular surgery.
