ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Registered Nurse, your key functions include:
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with patients, families, staff, and VMOs from diverse backgrounds and cultures;
- Providing exceptional customer service and person-centred and evidence-based care;
- Providing supervision and preceptorship to Enrolled Nurses, graduates and students and AINs/PSAs;
- Working as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team, managing own work time and personal well-being;
- Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
- Being Involved in clinical and compliance auditing.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- You will hold a minimum of 3 years of full-time scrub scout experience in orthopaedics and neurosurgery;
- Previous experience with Orthopaedics / Neurosurgery
- Have relevant post-graduate qualifications (desirable);
- Demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients within the perioperative complex;
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team;
- Implementing strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into daily activities.

Notably, the Angiography suite operates as a highly active unit, performing more than 4,120 coronary and vascular procedures each year, and its services continue to expand. The Cath Labs within this suite offer a wide range of specialized services, including coronary angiograms, percutaneous coronary intervention, electrophysiology with 3D mapping ablations, FFR and IVUS procedures, cardiac implantable devices, vascular interventions, and complex cases involving structural heart issues such as PFOs, LAAOs, TAVI, and Mitral Valve prosthetic implantations.
