An excellent opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse with sound experience in Scrub Scout, with a focus on ENT and MaxilloFacial, to assist the Perioperative Services Manager in leading and clinically supporting the theatre team at a private hospital in Melbourne. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The position provides clinical leadership to the unit, aligning with the strategic direction, operational processes, and quality management standards to ensure optimal patient care.

In collaboration with the Perioperative Services Manager and Nurse Unit Manager, you will guide the operational direction of the unit, coordinating the delivery of evidence-based nursing care to promote efficiency and effectiveness in patient outcomes.

You will also be accountable for the daily management of resources, including human, financial, and material assets, ensuring their optimal use to support the unit’s operational and clinical objectives.

 CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Sound clinical knowledge;
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Working with Children check (if relevant);
  • Experience in the Acute setting/relevant to position advanced skills (at least 12 months experience in Gynaecology);
  • Degree in the relevant specialty area;
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Positive role modelling behaviours;
  • Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation;
  • Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment;
  • A high degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databases.
