Nurse Unit Manager – Anaesthetics | Sydney

As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will be:

• Providing clinical leadership and support for the anaesthetic nursing staff;
• Working with the Perioperative Services Manager to meet operational, financial and quality improvement initiatives;
• Identifying educational and development needs of the anaesthetic team;
• Working with VMOs in a collaborative manner to deliver patient-centred care;
• Assisting with staff rostering, patient flow and resource allocation.

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• At least 5 years of experience working in Anaesthetics;
• Sound clinical knowledge;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards;
• Valid Working with Children check;
• Experience in an acute setting relevant to the position with advanced skills;
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;
• Positive role modeling behaviors;
• Excellent customer service focus, time management, and prioritization skills;
• Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment;
• A high degree of computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Office and various databases;
• Post-graduate qualifications in Anaesthetics.
