An excellent opportunity exists for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with exceptional leadership and clinical skills to lead the Anaeshetics team at a private hospital in Sydney.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will be:
- Providing clinical leadership and support for the anaesthetic nursing staff;
- Working with the Perioperative Services Manager to meet operational, financial and quality improvement initiatives;
- Identifying educational and development needs of the anaesthetic team;
- Working with VMOs in a collaborative manner to deliver patient-centred care;
- Assisting with staff rostering, patient flow and resource allocation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- At least 5 years of experience working in Anaesthetics;
- Sound clinical knowledge;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards;
- Valid Working with Children check;
- Experience in an acute setting relevant to the position with advanced skills;
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;
- Positive role modeling behaviors;
- Excellent customer service focus, time management, and prioritization skills;
- Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment;
- A high degree of computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Office and various databases;
- Post-graduate qualifications in Anaesthetics.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Sydney, is a 98-bed, 7-operating theatres acute surgical hospital. Services provided include (but are not limited to) General & Surgical Day Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Maternity and Special Care Nursery facilities, Oncology Unit, and a Mental Health Unit.
