An excellent opportunity exists for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with exceptional leadership and clinical skills to lead the Neuro and Orthopaedic teams at a private hospital in Sydney.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The position is dedicated to providing strong clinical leadership to the Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery team, aligning with the hospital's strategic direction, operational goals, and quality care standards for all patients.
In collaboration with and under the guidance of the Perioperative Services Manager, you will drive the clinical and operational direction of the unit, ensuring the delivery of efficient, evidence-based nursing care.
This role carries responsibility for the effective daily management of human, financial, and material resources across the orthopaedic, neurosurgery, and perioperative nursing teams, leveraging your specialist expertise in orthopaedics and neurosurgery to ensure excellence in patient outcomes and operational performance.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- At least 5 years of experience working in Perioperative Services, particularly in Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery;
- Sound clinical knowledge;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards;
- Valid Working with Children check;
- Experience in an acute setting relevant to the position with advanced skills;
- Flexibility to work varying days and shifts to meet the hospital's operational needs, including participation in a rotating roster;
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;
- Positive role modeling behaviors;
- Excellent customer service focus, time management, and prioritization skills;
- Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment;
- A high degree of computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Office and various databases;
- Post-graduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing or Management, or actively working towards them.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Sydney, is a 98-bed, 7-operating theatres acute surgical hospital. Services provided include (but are not limited to) General & Surgical Day Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Maternity and Special Care Nursery facilities, Oncology Unit, and a Mental Health Unit.
