A remarkable opportunity is available for an experienced senior nurse to take charge of the management of a dynamic Theatre team as a Nurse Unit Manager at a private hospital in Melbourne. It is a permanent full-time position.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Theatre Department ensuring the delivery of high standard care and patient safety. You will work in a collaborative team alongside another NUM and POSM to manage a skilled nursing and support team in the soon-to-be 12 Theatre complex.
You will lead supervise and mentor the Theatre team to ensure the smooth operation of the department. You will be integral to leading the training, professional development, and management of the Theatre staff.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA;
- Extensive clinical skills and experience within Theatre;
- Experience in a Management role;
- Demonstrated ability to be an effective role model in the area of clinical practice;
- Ability to plan, develop, and implement Departmental Strategies
- Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human, and capital resources.
