A fantastic chance is available for a Senior Registered Nurse with strong interpersonal and communication abilities to oversee the Operating Rooms at a private hospital located in Sydney.

POSITION DETAILS
As the Operating Theatre Floor Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
  • Oversee safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards;
  • Support and liaise with the Nurse Unit Manager of the Perioperative department and wards;
  • Ensure all theatres are staffed appropriately and cost-efficient;
  • Understanding of legislative requirements, ACORN,and sterilisation standards;
  • Knowledge of accreditation processes and Quality/Risk management.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Tertiary Qualification in Health related discipline or Management (or working towards);
  • At least 4 years of management experience;
  • At least 3 years of Human Resources Management experience;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing budget targets;
  • A high degree of computer literacy, including MS Office;
  • Experience in a similar position (desired);
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

ABOUT THE FACILITY 

The hospital, located in Sydney, is a  98 patient-beds facility and provides an extensive range of medical and acute services, including seven operating theatres, an Angiography suite, a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit, a Maternity Unit, a Level Two, six patient-bed Special Care Nursery, as well as a Day Surgery Unit, Mental Health Unit, Oncology Department as well as pharmacy and radiology services.
