Registered Midwife | Sydney

An opportunity has arisen for a Registered Midwife with a passion for women’s health and a commitment to providing exceptional care to join the maternity team at a private hospital in Sydney. It is a full-time role.

The registered midwife will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with key stakeholders:

In this position, you will:

• Provide comprehensive midwifery care during antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods;
• Support and educate new mothers about breastfeeding, newborn care, and postnatal recovery;
• Collaborate with obstetricians, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver multidisciplinary care;
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with hospital policies and best practices.

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• At least 2 years of experience in a birth suite and or post-natal setting;
• Demonstrated experience working in the postnatal midwifery setting;
• Demonstrated cultural awareness and understanding;
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a supportive team;
• Demonstrated ability to advocate for and implement individualised patient-centered care;
• Demonstrated professional manner when involved in emergencies;
• Advanced communication skills and willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary team;
• Flexibility of a 7-day, rotating roster.
