Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab | Melbourne

Remarkable opportunities are on the horizon for deeply motivated Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurses to advance their clinical expertise and further education at a private brand-new hospital in Melbourne. Permanent full-time and part-time roles are available.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
• Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
• Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
• Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
• Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
• Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant registration with AHRPA as a Registered Nurse;
• At least 2 years of post-graduate experience in an acute hospital environment;
• Recent experience in interventional cardiology and other CCU-type environments;
• Recent critical care experience and post-graduate certificates are desirable;
• Availability to work across a 7-day rotating roster is essential.

REMUNERATION

On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $36.13 - $ 49.96 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. 

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a 126-bed facility with operating theatres, a cardiac catheter lab, inpatient wards, and a day oncology centre. Future plans allow for the continuing development of the site to continue to grow and meet the health care requirements of the expanding community. This new state-of-the-art hospital is due to open in February 2024.
