Registered Nurse – Cardiac Services Unit | Melbourne

An outstanding opportunity awaits a talented and passionate Registered Nurse to join a 30-bed cardiac unit comprising 9 coronary care beds and 21 cardiology beds on a full-time/part-time basis for a rotating roster at a private hospital in Melbourne.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides exceptional care to patients and makes coming to work each day an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

Your duties will involve: 

• Delivering evidence-based nursing care, liaising with the multidisciplinary team;
• Ensuring patient and staff safety;
• Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members;
• Providing education and support to patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• Possess excellent critical thinking, and time-management skills and enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced clinical environment;
• Commitment to continued professional development;
• At least 3 years of work experience in an acute care hospital setting /Cardiac experience;
• Commitment to patient-focused care and teamwork;
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and effective problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team;
• Strong work ethic and ability to work well under pressure.

The facility is a 164-bed hospital that offers an extensive array of healthcare services. Onsite, there are 11 general operating rooms to support various medical procedures. The facility is a frontrunner in the field of orthopedic care. The core areas of expertise encompass  ENT/Otolaryngology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Pediatrics, Oncology, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, Rehabilitation, Urology, and Breast Cancer Surgery.
