Excellent opportunities exist for enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurses with postgraduate qualifications in an emergency to work within the Emergency Department at a private hospital in Melbourne. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

ABOUT THE POSITION 
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
  • Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members, including Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs), to deliver patient care;
  • Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health, recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
  • Leading successful quality improvement and safety management projects to deliver desired outcomes;
  • Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
  • Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • At least 2 years of Registered Nursing in an Emergency/Critical Care environment;
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
  • Post Graduate Certificate or working towards in Critical Care or Emergency Nursing;
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Working with Children check;
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused.

REMUNERATION

Salaries range between $36.13 and $48.32 per hour.

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a 127-bed acute facility offering patients a wide range of surgical, medical, maternity, mental health, and rehabilitation care. The hospital has 5 modern well, equipped interactive operating suites accommodating the following specialities: orthopaedics, gynaecology & obstetrics, urology, neurology, plastics, paediatrics, ENT, ophthalmology, general, and endoscopy.
