Excellent opportunities have become available for dynamic Registered Nurses to join a professional Medical Oncology Unit at a private hospital in Melbourne. Full-time and part-time roles are available.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
- Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current AHPRA registration;
- At least 2 years of experience in an acute general medical environment;
- Demonstrated experience administering infusions – chemotherapy and biologics (desirable for oncology wards);
- At least 2 years of oncology experience;
- Working with Children check;
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- Post Graduate Certificate or working towards a relevant specialty (desirable);
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Proactive, motivated, and customer-focused.
REMUNERATION
Salaries range between $36.13 and $48.32 per hour.

The Hospital, located south-east of Melbourne CBD, provides an extensive range of healthcare services, including a 24-hour Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Coronary Care, Integrated Theatres, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and Oncology services, and as providing a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services.
