An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Surgical Registered Nurse to join the well-established team in a permanent full-time or part-time role.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, you will join and support the dedicated team to ensure a high level of nursing care is delivered and maintained at all times.
This will involve, but is not limited to;
- Assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating the care delivery needs of patients;
- Treating all customers with respect and equality while meeting all aspects of their care in a timely and professional manner;
- Working effectively in a multidisciplinary team while undertaking additional tasks as directed by the Nurse Unit Manager.
The successful candidate will be joining the 21-bed unit, which offers a diverse specialty caseload including urology, gynaecology, plastics, and ENT.
REQUIREMENTS
- Registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse;
- Experience in acute Med/Surg ward (various surgical specialties: Ortho, Urology, Gen Surg);
- At least 2 years of acute surgical nursing experience post-grad;
- Demonstrated ability to work as a cohesive team member or independently as required;
- Ability to handle the rotating roster;
- Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service.
REMUNERATION
$34.43 - $48.33 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

It specialises in Cardiothoracic, Orthopaedics, Colorectal, Laparoscopic, Gynaecology, Plastics, Urology, Breast, ENT, Hand, Ophthalmic, Head and Neck, Vascular, Neurology, General Surgery and a Day Procedure Unit. Hospital has 10 operating theatres supported by a dedicated Angiography Suite and Endoscopy Suite.
