ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
- Providing complex and multi-disciplinary care;
- Working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Authority to work in Australia;
- Working with Children check (if relevant);
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- At least 2 years of experience in emergency or critical care nursing;
- Post Graduate Certificate or working towards in Critical Care or Emergency Nursing;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer-focused.
REMUNERATION
Salary ranges between $36.13 and $48.32 per hour.

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility that provides Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, a 20-bed ICU/CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services, including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. A 24/7 Emergency Department that covers a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, 15 theatres are offered, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs, and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology, and more.
